The prettier I feel, the prettier I look. I was always taught it was the other way around – look good and you will feel good. But as I work with people who are in despair and confusion, I am learning that I was taught wrong. As my clients start feeling better about who they are, their beauty begins to emerge. It is almost magical as people change from week to week or month to month, and after six months of change and growth, they look like different people. The frown lines, worry lines, extra weight, flat eyes, begin to change as the old problems are overcome and old obstacles lifted. But it takes work. This kind of transformation happens on the inside. They don’t just hit the gym every day, they have to be self-reflective in the midst of an argument or apologize when they make a mistake. Try ending a fight with humour because you’d rather be happy then right. Takes a lot. So they earn it. And the changes show. What story will your face and your body tell the world about the life you’ve had in ten years? Today’s the day to make a change.
